International Abductions
Ministry of Justice of Bosnia and Herzegovina is a central executive body for the communication between the judicial bodies in Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad in the cases of international child abductions.
The international child abductions mean the illegal remowing to and/or retaining of the child in a foreign country.
Bosnia and Herzegovina is a state party of Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abductions, /the Hague 25 October 1980/, which was assumed by the notification on succession of the International Agreements of the former SFRY.
The Convention regulates the procedure in the case of illegal removing to or retaining of child in a foreign country by one of the parents or other blood relatives.
Furthermore, the Convention is also applied in order to realize the rights of one of the parents or other blood relatives to see a child.
